Solo Weekend

Written on February 2, 2004 – 1:33 pm

I had a pretty good weekend by myself. Friday night, I went out for drinks with some co-workers. Then went shopping for some needles I needed. I also stopped at the video store and rented Season 2 of CSI. Season 1 hadn’t come back in and I was itching to watch. I watched an episode then went to bed. Saturday, I spent watching CSI and knitting. Then I went shopping. I had to get a gift for my sister. She’ll be 21 on Saturday. When I got home, a friend called about going to the movies. So I went out and saw Something’s Gotta Give with my friend and his wife. What a fun movie. It was hilarious and the whole theater was laughing through the entire movie. But I wanted it to end differently than it did. Oh well. Sunday was more CSI and knitting. Then my husband came home and he watched the last few episodes with me. Afterwards, I watched a few episodes of Stargate with him. By then it was time to go to bed.

All in all, it was a fun, relaxing weekend. I know that had my husband been home, I wouldn’t have gotten that much knitting done. I knitted 3 inches of my hat and completed 2 of the 35 squares for the afghan I’ve started. Good progress was made. It didn’t take me long to do the squares, so hopefully, if I just find the time to sit and work on it, it shouldn’t take me too long to finish it.
