New Room

Written on March 1, 2004 – 12:30 pm

Yesterday my husband decided we should paint the living room. So we emptied the room and painted it. We had already said we were going to paint and have had the paint for months. We just never got around to it. Yesterday on a whim, we did it. Our living room is now a nice deep, dark red with white trim. We contemplated painting the ceiling for about 5 minutes and decided against it. I really love the new look. I took pictures this morning, but didn’t have time to transfer them to the camera, so I’ll post them tonight or tomorrow. I am extremely sore right now and can barely walk. My butt hurts from sitting on the floor for so long painting the edge of the walls and doing the trim. But I’m so glad it’s done. It’s been hanging over our heads for at least 4 months and now I feel we can officially start working on the kitchen since we don’t have anymore pending projects that we’ve been too lazy to finish. It looks so good, but the curtains we had in there were blue and do not match the walls. So I will be out shopping this weekend looking for thick white curtains to hang in their place.
