I’m once again getting the itch to redesign. Not sure why. I’m really not in the mood to work on the actual design of the site. But I want something different. So will the design change? Not sure. I hope to play around a little in photoshop this weekend. I still have yet to learn all its tricks, especially the all important mask layer. I want to figure out how to use it in hopes of making collages and such…the key to creating good desktop wallpaper and maybe give me a whole new look at graphics for my site. If I could create some pretty wallpapers, that might be my new online direction. My desire for creating site designs has once again died along with most of my desire to really be on the computer. But seeing Allison’s great wallpaper has inspired me to learn what masking is all about. Not that I don’t have enough on my plate already what with my reading and my knitting projects.

BTW, my trip to Texas is in flux. Apparently my boss and his wife have decided to go visit her brother in DC that same week I was planning to be gone. So of course, he gets to axe my trip. Since there are only 2 of us in the computer department one of us has to be around. He’s my boss, so of course he’s going to say I can’t go so that he can. I was so pissed I was almost in tears, but I’m now trying to think of it in a positive way. We’ll be able to save a bunch of money since we won’t both be gone, meaning we don’t have to board the dogs and I won’t have to leave my car in long-term parking, because my husband will be able to take me to the airport and pick me up. My parents have graciously decided to come visit for the long Memorial Day weekend so I won’t be by myself. And I’m trying to plan to go out two weeks after my husband’s trip, which is pretty much the only time I’ll be able to see all of my family at one time for a while. My sister is going to Spain for a semester in July. (Lucky her.) And as soon as she leaves, my parents are moving to FL….dad is officially retiring in June (and it’s about time!) So with all that is going on with them, the only time I can see them is mid June.

What a mess!
