What a weekend
Our weekend was pretty eventful. We decided to go camping Saturday night with the hubby’s cousin and her gang. It was one of the guys’ birthday, so we all went out to the great outdoors. Well, he has a 4×4 fixed up bronco that he wanted to go riding in. Of course my hubby has a 4×4 truck, so he had to try it all too. What an experience. He almost smashed a tree going down a trail at a 45 degree incline in the woods. Then crossing a stream with a downed tree caused him to get stuck once again and he smashed the side of his truck. The next day we went riding again and he bottomed out trying to go over a steep hump in the trail. Bent the step bars on one side. No big deal, he managed to straighten it out. Later on, we had to cross an underwater bridge. Literally a slab of concrete with a raging river going over it. That was not fun. I was a nervous wreck. I could feel us sliding and was just imagining us going over the edge in the river. Then we got pulled over by the forest police. I guess he thought we were up to no good, which we weren’t but weren’t about to tell him that. We got saved by some 4-wheelers that were riding illegally on some restricted trails. It was definitely an experience.
And just when I thought it was all over, I had to go in for an Endoscopy yesterday. Ugh! I felt like crap when I came to. I hate anesthesia…it makes me so sick to my stomache. So I didn’t get to knit, but we really had an adventurous weekend. It was actually pretty fun.
