Productive Weekend
We had a very productive weekend, even though I didn’t get as much rest as I should have. My parents came up and it was great to see them again. Mom and I went shopping all day Saturday. We took the dog to the pet store to get shaved. Then we went to Target, where I got a pair of maternity pants that are so comfy! They have an elastic waist with buttons on each side. I can adjust the elastic using the buttons as my belly grows. I love them!
After lunch we went to Baby Depot (Burlington Coat Factory) and I was floored by all the baby stuff they have. I’ve never seen so many little clothes…the racks were so full, you couldn’t fit one more thing on them. They had a whole wall (floor to ceiling) of nothing but diaper bags. Rows and rows of bedding. I will definitely be going back to get stuff. We bought the bedding for the crib and I got the cutest little duck outfit. I also got a frame to put the sonogram in.
A few hours later we picked up the dog from the pet store and came home for dinner. I ate dinner and went straight to bed. At 7:30pm! I was sound asleep by 8pm.
Sunday, dad helped my DH move the computer desks out of the nursery. So all the big furniture is now out of the room and all that is left is a bunch of junk on the floor and in the closet. We’ll be weeding through it over the next few weeks.
Mom also helped me clean out the closet. So I put away a lot of the winter stuff and stuff that doesn’t fit me anymore but I hope to wear again next year. Of course, we were so into doing shirts, I totally forgot to do pants, so all my pants are still hanging. I will have to go through those maybe this weekend. At least I know what fits and what I need to get. I realized I don’t have nearly enough shirts. Most of the shirts I used to wear are cropped, so they aren’t long enough to cover my belly. LOL! I guess I’ll be going shopping for maternity shirts soon.
I bought the first pack of diapers last night. It was a weird feeling to walk around the store with them in the buggy. But it was so cool too, especially checking out.

It is so much fun to go baby shopping. The truth is that my baby is 3 months old and my husband can not leave a store without buying something for the baby. He’s having so much fun!!!!
Its great that your parents are helping out with the nursery.
I’ll bet your parents are thrilled to help! “Waiting for baby†is such a wonderful time.
Do you have a colortheme in mind for the nursery already? And inquiring minds want to know, will you be finding out the sex of the baby or will you want it to be a surprise?
