First Illness and Another Milestone 15 February 2007

Amelia got her first illness this past weekend. But we wouldn’t have know anything was wrong had I not noticed that she wasn’t eating like she normally does. She was only eating about half of her milk. She was so happy and she reached another milestone this weekend also. She was being so vocal it was cute. At first I thought something was wrong, but looking at her she seemed happy. Giggling and smiling and sqealing so much. But she just wasn’t eating. So I took her in on Monday and she has an ear infection. She’s doing better with the eating since we’ve been giving her the antibiotic, but she’s not quite back up to where she was last week. She still sqeals a lot and last night when I got home, I said hello to her and she laughed at me (a real chuckle). So I guess she feels fairly well. She’s usually such a happy girl and has been babbling so much this week. It’s fun to hear her talking.

I know the day will come when all I will want is for her to be quiet, but for now, I’m loving it as I’m sure she is too. And she’s on her way to getting better. But I stayed home on Monday to keep an eye on her. I’m one of those rare people who is allergic to amoxicillan, so I wanted to be around when we started giving it to her to make sure she isn’t allergic to it also. She seems to be fine thankfully.
