A Birthday Milestone! bullet 19 April 2007

Amelia reached another milestone today on her daddy’s birthday, but alas, he didn’t get to see it. This morning when I went into her room to change her diaper and say good morning, I found her on her belly in her crib! Apparently she had rolled over from her back to her belly. This is the first time I’ve seen this happen. But we’ve been expecting it to happen since she likes to sleep on her side most nights. We knew it was only a matter of time before she rolled the rest of the way over to her belly. It was quite surprising and I would have been more excited about it, but her face was almost pushed into the crib bumper. She has a habit of turning in her sleep, and last night I had to straighten her back out several times after she had turned herself perpendicular to the length of the crib. So I guess she wiggled enough before rolling over to twist herself face first into the bumper.

But she has officially rolled over from back to belly. Woohoo!

Oh yeah…Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband and the best father my daughter could ever want…she really has become a full-fledged daddy’s girl.

hi, beautiful baby, at this point i think i read somewhere its best to take out the crib bumper to avoid suffocation.
