A Bad Dream 03 May 2007

I think Amelia had a bad dream last night. Around 4am we woke to her crying, she was crying pretty bad. It startled us so we rushed into her room, thinking she had turned herself or rolled over or something. But DH said she was still asleep, but really crying. He had to pick her up and jostle her a little bit to get her to wake up. When she finally woke up, she stopped crying.

All we can guess was that she was having a bad dream. Of course since he woke her up, she wouldn’t go back to sleep. He sat with her and rocked her for a little while thinking maybe it would put her back to sleep but it didn’t. She never fussed or anything so we just left her in her crib to fall asleep on her own, which she eventually did.

But it was so weird. Usually she’ll fuss a little bit while still asleep and I’ll give her the pacifier and she’ll settle back down. But she’s never cried out like she did last night. Poor baby.
