Hard to Let Go bullet 21 May 2007

After a week and a half of being at home with Amelia, today was our first day back on our regular schedule. It was so hard to let her go at daycare this morning. I know she’ll be fine, but it was hard to leave her. I got so used to being at home with her. Even the few days I did go to work, she stayed at home with my parents.

I mentioned that she loves to sit up and now knows how to sit back up from laying down and that she hates to be strapped in and reclined, and her teacher said she would make sure to give her more floor time. So that’s reassuring. I know she won’t spend the whole day sitting in a swing or anything. She doesn’t do that at home. We’ve packed away the swing and the bouncy chair we used to use. She’s outgrown both. She still occasionally plays in her exersaucer, but for the most part, she plays on a blanket on the floor and she is content that way. She can scoot around, sit back up when she falls over and she’s not strapped in.
