This weekend Amelia got a "black" eye. Well, it hasn’t truly turned all black and blue, just a bit purplish, but it swelled up pretty badly on Sunday.
We have absolutely no idea how she bumped her eye. We are guessing she fell in her crib or something. She woke up earlier than usual crying, so I got up with her, but never realized there was something wrong. When DH got up an hour later, he went to give her a hug and noticed her eye was red on the side. Poor thing, she was extra fussy all day, but otherwise is handling it well. It looks a lot better today with most of the swelling gone, and just a purple bruise left that I’m sure will take a few days to go away.
Otherwise, we had a good weekend. We went to the lake and went swimming and for a boat ride. Amelia had a good time swimming, but she isn’t all that thrilled with her life jacket, but what toddler is. She also got to spend time with her cousin, who is only 2 months old and I got to hang out with other moms, one of which has a son a few months older than Amelia, which is a rarity for me. It was a fun day.
