We were in Tampa, Florida visiting my grandmother in the hospital and we didn’t want to make the vacation all about that. So, while there for 4 days, we decided to take our daughter to the beach. My husband scoped out which was the nearest beach and tried to figure out which might be the least crowded – it was July 4th weekend! We found a state park in Clearwater that we figured would be less crowded than the public beach in St.Petersburg and drove the fairly short drive there.
My daughter was so excited to finally be going to the beach. Once there we scoped out a great spot, bought her a pail and shovel and she had a blast playing in the sand and jumping the waves with daddy. I tried to take her in a few times, but I wasn’t very good at keeping her head above water.
