I took my daughter to the ENT for a checkup. Thankfully, her ears are doing fine.
While there the doc decided to check me out real quick. I explained that my tinnitus is worse first thing in the morning, but gradually gets better over the course of the day, then starts to get bad again in the evening. He said I couldn’t take my water pull twice a day because that would be an overdose, so he prescribed something else I could take in the evenings.
It’s called Diamox, primarily used to treat symptoms of glaucoma and works like a diuretic. I took the first dose around 5 pm last night. It’s now been just over 24 hours, and I still feel tingly in my hands and around my mouth.
I stayed home today to hopefully sleep it off. I slept for close to four hours this morning and I still feel like I could go to bed and sleep.
Apparently I’m having a somewhat averse reaction to this medication and I only took one dose. No more. I will be happy once this tingling goes away.
I would be even better if I could hear normal again. I still have horrible tinnitus and its like I hear everything from underwater. Ringing, humming, whirring, all at the same time.
